Laneway Festival Singapore 2011

I can't believe that i can actually get pass to do a coverage for this amazing festival, been anticipating the event for three months, and been dreaming to watch and admire Warpaint, Beach House, Deerhunter, Yeasayer, Foals, !!!, Ladyhawke, Holy Fuck, and Temper Trap. And with the graciousness of Laneway Festival crew, i can get all nine in one day. :)
(well also thanks to C who stringed me to the festival)

I came with a friend photographer and a whole load of friend that flew from Indonesia just for the festival, i'm with Eric from Deathrockstar and Anthono a freelance photographer that took some of the amazing photos while my camera went down.

Even if the rain poured hard all day and all night during the festival, but with a simple disposable raincoat and moving around and dance your body through the festival with added fun will keep you warm. well some beer, vodka and your partner hugs will add warmer feeling while you sing along with the band.

And the heavy rain also add mud, that i also see appeared at most of big festival around the world, and at Fort Canning i can saw a piece of girls doing mud wrestling, guys doing mud skiing, and guys and girls with mud all over his face and body.

My own personal taste should pick Beach House as the most hypnotic performance i've ever see, Warpaint as the most beautiful dreamy noises, Yeasayer the coolest act, !!! as the most danceable, Holy Fuck as the coolest noises and Foals as the thing i feel that i have to see because everyone talking about em.

Bellow are some photographs taken by me and my partners, my camera suddenly went awol because of the rain, as also my fellow photographers... the boss said i'm an amateur photographers, hahaha.

just enjoy, and hoping so much to be in the same festival next year.

the gate open around 12, and i see a queue of good looking youngster that i believe can't bear to missed any of the performer that night.

The festival officially opened by Warpaint, the freshest sound in the scene that caught tons of media ears and currently hyped everywhere and the songs are currently on every iPod.

The performance are started (basically) on time, even if a very heavy rain falling and i saw ocean of people wearing disposable raincoat spread by the committee

The hypnotic Victoria of Beach House.

to be honest i can't express anything but a grateful feeling to be able to watch this event, and the euphoria will stays forever.
